A pregnant woman identified as Oluwakemi Olalere has died as a result of physical assault and emotional trauma experienced from her husband, Aferiwo Olatunji, in Ileogbo, Osun State.

OSUN DEFENDER gathered that the incident occurred on March 23, 2026.

The 33-year-old mother of two was reportedly killed by her husband, who beat her to a pulp.

The incident has left residents of the community in deep grief.

Sources within the community told OSUN DEFENDER that the woman died as a result of internal bleeding from persistent beating by her 36-year-old husband.

The medium learnt that the husband, while carrying out the physical assault, kicked her in the stomach over her refusal to join his mother on the farm.

The medium reliably gathered that the deceased delivered her two children through Cesarean Section.

She was confirmed dead on her way to a hospital in Iwo.

Meanwhile, the husband has been arrested and detained at Ileogbo police station.

Speaking on the incident, the Founder of Monsurat Ajoke Foundation, Ms Monsurat Ibrahim, urged every woman going through abuse from their partners to choose their lives over relationships to avoid dying in silence.

“To every woman going through abuse: Please, your life matters more than any relationship. Love should not hurt you, break you, or silence you. Speak up. Seek help. Walk away if you must. Staying quiet can cost you everything.

“To men who abuse their partners; A real man protects, not destroys. No anger, frustration, or ego justifies violence. You are not only hurting a woman you are destroying a family and shaping trauma in your children,” she said.

She urged the police to get to the root of the matter.
