The Association said that economic indices tend towards positivity and the desire to better service members, hence, the need for members to renew their hope in the new year.
This was contained in a statement signed and issued by the Executive Secretary of the Association, Mr. Jide Afolabi on behalf of the President and Chairman of the Executive Committee, Dr. Olufemi Ogunlowo.
Ogunlowo said that businesses have been largely disrupted in the last two years as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic saying that with the discovery of the vaccines and booster’s, the virus is slowing down thereby causing businesses around the world to open up.
He said, “The world has been battling the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy causing businesses to shut down. But today, we have vaccines and booster’s. This has slowed down spread of the virus coupled with the fact that awareness creation has improved and people are now practicing hygienic lifestyle.
“I want our members to be hopeful because 2022 promises to be a blessed year.
“The economic outlook for the year is not a gloomy one and our industry will benefit tremendously from it.
“We are currently rebranding the Association for greater efficiency. From 2022, we shall offer more services to Private Employment Agencies in the country especially, our member-companies in the area of capacity building, compliance and better services to user enterprises among other”.
The President was hopeful that the international recruiters would return to work this year as arrangements have been concluded to lift the embargo currently placed on international recruitment.
“Our members in the international recruitment would smile again this year as we are pushing for early removal of the embargo on international recruitment.
