A dramatic twist has emerged in the case involving Nasiru Buba, a resident of Jigawa State, who accused the Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwal Danladi Sankara, of engaging in an illicit affair with his wife, Tasleem.
Buba, speaking to journalists in Kano on Tuesday, disclosed that he had presented overwhelming evidence against the commissioner in court.
According to him, the evidence included 854 pictures, 100 video clips, 200 WhatsApp voice notes, and over 500 hours of call records.
These materials, he said, provided indisputable proof of the alleged misconduct between his wife and the commissioner.
Despite what he described as “clear and undeniable evidence,” the Sharia Court presiding over the matter declared Sankara not guilty.

This verdict has left Buba deeply dissatisfied, and he has since voiced his frustrations with the judicial process.
“With all the evidence I provided to the police and the court, they still cleared him. If the court has cleared them, they are not cleared in the eyes of God and in the eyes of those who know the truth about the situation. I leave everything to Allah, and He will be the ultimate judge,” Buba said.
Buba’s lawyer, Rabi’u Sidi, also expressed displeasure with the court’s handling of the case, noting that neither he nor his client was informed about the court sitting where the judgment was delivered.
“We are a necessary party to this case, yet no one communicated with us about the sitting. We only learned about the ruling through the media,” Sidi lamented.
