Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has raised concerns over an alleged plot to cancel his highly anticipated December concert in Lagos.
The singer revealed that the controversy stems from comments he made about Nigeria’s economy during a recent appearance on the American podcast “Big Homies House.”
In the interview, Davido advised Americans against relocating to Africa, particularly Nigeria, citing the country’s struggling economy, which he described as being in “shambles.”
His remarks have sparked widespread criticism from Nigerians at home and abroad. Prominent figures, including Joe Igbokwe and Reno Omokri, accused Davido of tarnishing Nigeria’s global reputation.
