I Faced Bullying, Body Shaming – Governor Umo Eno
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has revealed how growing up with albinism exposed him to bullying, body shaming, and rejection.
In a message shared on X, the governor described his experience as challenging but said it helped shape his outlook on life and strengthened his resolve to stand proudly today.
He noted that his survival and achievements could only be attributed to God’s grace.
“Growing up with albinism wasn’t easy; I faced bullying, body shaming, and rejection. But today, by God’s grace, I stand proudly.
“That’s why whenever I see anyone with this skin condition, I make it a point to honour and recognise them,” he wrote.
