I Have Discovered Partners In Civil Service – Osun Governor-Elect

Osun State governor elect, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, has expressed gratitude to and commended civil servants in the state of Osun for their support during the elections.

The governor-elect, who equally sounded a note of warning to states that the customary federal allocation from the federation account may cease sooner than expected, explained civil servants in the state were the best throughout the country.

Speaking at a special thanksgiving organised in his honour by civil servants in the State of Osun, Mr Oyetola noted his administration would redouble efforts at further smoothening relationships with workers, noting their services remained at the very core of success or otherwise of administrations.

The event held at Aurora Events Centre, Osogbo, attracted dignitaries including the State deputy governor, Mrs. Titi Laoye-Tomori, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Rasak Salinsile, other cabinet members, the Head of Service (HoS), Dr. Olowogboyega Oyebade, permanent secretaries, and other state functionaries.

Oyetola, who waxed few songs in praise of God, urged workers in the state to work harder and generate more revenues for the state, noting this would ease for government statutory tasks of payment of salaries and emoluments, even as such would aid friendly atmosphere in the state.

Commending the HoS as the best among the lot he had worked with so far, the governor-elect who explained the state had the best civil service in the country, pledged “I will improve my relations with workers in the state and raise the bar of governance.”

Laoye-Tomori described the governor-elect as the brain behind the innovation which prevented the untoward during the salary payment crisis, adding that he was ever humble, amiable, gentle, brilliant and approachable.

The HoS explained the reception was organised was to extend solidarity with and assurances for the incoming government which was supported during the last election by civil servants.
