I Resorted To Court After Exhausting Internal Mechanisms – Adagunodo

By Odunola Akinbode

Embattled Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun, Hon Soji Adagunodo has said that he resorted to court process after exhausting all internal mechanisms to address his grievances and injustice meted on him.

Adagunodo, who spoke with the medium in Osogbo, said he needed to absolve himself from the ‘frivolous allegations’ and seek redress for his predicament in the PDP.

According to him, two of the people that signed a petition against him were not members of the party until after the 2018 governorship election.

He said he had earlier proposed reconciliation to the National Secretariat of the party, saying that he was open for amicable settlement.

He expressed confidence in the reconciliation committee set up by the National Secretariat of the party to resolve crises in the PDP.

Adagunodo said: “The issue is no longer a family affair, it is in court and we went to court after all the internal mechanisms to resolve the issues were exhausted and I was still aggrieved. Our party constitution allows that.”

The chairman said he had no issues with the Adeleke dynasty to warrant being ousted from his position.

According to him, some ‘greedy politicians’ in the party who were milking the Adeleke family were the ones causing friction in the PDP.
