Embattled Alimosho Council Chairman, Jelili Sulaimon has revealed the cause of his suspension by the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Osun Defender reports that the he Lagos State House of Assembly on Monday announced the indefinite suspension of the council chairman for alleged misconduct.
The chairman was suspended at the plenary in a unanimous vote by the lawmakers over alleged non-compliance, defiance and unyielding attitude to the legislative house.
However, Sulaimon alleged that the Assembly suspended him for refusing to hand over Iyana Ipaja market revenues to one, Aderoju Ishola Ejibadero an alleged land grabber.
Sulaimon, while addressing a large crowd in a video seen by Osun Defender on X, stated that the state assembly is beginning to twist the facts behind his suspension.

He said, “There is nothing like twisting the fact because I can see they are stating to twist the facts and facts must not be twisted. The causes (sic) of the suspension is due to the fact that I was directed by the Lagos State House of Assembly to give the revenue, the market tolls of Iyana Ipaja market to Mr Aderoju Ishola. What I just said, there is a written document to that fact. That is the basis to the suspension.
“The second reason is that they said Aderoju Ishola Ejibadero is the owner of all lands from Iyana Ipaja to Idimu.”
