‘I Won’t Accept Failure’, Osun NSCDC Commandant Tells Personnel

The Osun State Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Akintayo Adaralewa has charged operational commanders in the state to be disciplined and resolute in the discharge of their duty.

Adaralewa said the operational commanders must adhere strictly to rules of engagement while discharging their duties, noting that NSCDC is known for ‘’humility in service delivery,’’ and his administration would not accept excuses for failure.

The Commander noted that his administration would prioritize training the personnel, adding that he is committed to combatting criminalities.

A statement by the Command spokesperson, Adeleke Kehinde, a copy made available to Osun Defender quoted the Commander as saying, “It would no longer be business as usual in Osun State. Therefore, all hands must be on deck to achieve the mandates of the Corps in protecting critical national assets and infrastructure.

‘’Discipline starts from training and adequate training improves personnel’s capacity to give their best to the nation. The Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, does not joke with training because it leads to improved performance. Here in Osun, we get our officers and men trained and retrained in combating emerging security challenges. We will leave no stone unturned to make Osun peaceful and secure.’’

The statement further noted that the Commandant solicited the cooperation of the field officers to fight crime in the state.
