Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, representing Anambra South Senatorial District in the Senate has emerged as the Anambra state governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party.
The Anambra governorship election is scheduled for November 6, 2021.
YPP held her primary election in Abuja on Thursday where Ubah emerged unopposed. He was subsequently cleared by the party leadership to fly the party’s flag at the November 6 election.
In his acceptance speech, after the event, Ubah allayed the fears of Nigerians about the crisis in the South-East.
The lawmaker insists that the insecurity in the South-East region would not affect the conduct of the polls. He affirms that his party the YPP will emerge victorious in the end.
Ubah accused the Anambra State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party and its All Progressives Grand Alliance counterpart of the crisis in the state.
