Ifelodun LG Boss Assures Commitment To Dividends of Democracy

The newly elected Chairman, Ifelodun Local Government, Ikirun, State of Osun, Alhaji Lamidi Omoloye has assured residents of the commitment of his administration to do the needful  in bringing dividends of democracy to the nooks and crannies  of the council in  no distant time.

He gave this assurance during the swearing in ceremony of members of the council’s parliament.

In his acceptance speech, Omoloye who is the head of government in his council area commended the governor of the state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for introducing parliamentary system at the local government level, maintaining that the system will make people feel the impact of governance both at the rural and urban areas.

The elected leader of the council’s parliament and the only female member, Alhaja Omotayo Adebisi supervised the election of other principal officers of the parliament in the presence of the council Manager, Alhaja Salaam Musirafat and other departmental heads; Clerk of the house, Mr Kamorudeen and  political parties’ faithful.

Omoloye  (Ward 2) was elected the Chairman, Hassan Kamorudeen (Ward 3) was elected the Vice Chairman, Alhaja Omotayo Adebisi (Ward 1) was elected the leader of the house, Okunlola Mustapha (ward 4) elected the Deputy Leader, and Olaniyi Taofeek (Ward 5) is a member of the parliament.
