Omoluabi Progressives, the leading political organisation in Osun State has urged residents of the state and Nigerians to ignore a fake poster of the former Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola with the logo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The logo is currently circulated on social media.
Speaking with Osun Defender in Osogbo, on Tuesday, the Organising and Publicity Secretary of the caucus, Oluwaseun Abosede, described those circulating the image as mischievous and agents of doom.
Abosede said Aregbesola has not at anytime either wished or proposed to become a member of the Peoples Democratic Party.
He added that those jittery about Aregbesola’s soaring popularity and the success recorded by the tendency were behind the fake poster.

“The poster you see on social media about our reverred leader, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola aiming to contest for Senate under the PDP is false.
“Everything behind the poster is fake and ludicrous. It is the handiwork of some rabble rousers who feel threatened by the enigmatic personality of Aregbesola as well as the love of the people which is growing stronger daily for Omoluabi Progressives.
“I wish to urge our people in Osun and Nigerians in general to disregard the poster. It is not true. Omoluabi Progressives nor our patron will never be deterred by the antics of the naysayers to discredit our efforts at returning the governance of Osun to true progressivism in 2026.
“Kindly disregard the poster. It is not true,” Oluwaseun stressed further.
