‎IGP Presents N40m Cheques To Families Of Deceased Officers In Osun

Osun State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Gotan, on Wednesday, presented cheques worth N40,360,075.66 to families and next of kin of Forty-five (45) deceased Police Officers in the state. 

The event was held at the command headquarters, Osogbo, Osun State, capital.

A statement by the Public Relations of the Command, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi noted that Gotan was represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Finance and Administration, DCP Adebisi Bola Lateef.

The statement noted that the gesture was part of the Inspector-General of Police’s family welfare packages and Group Life Assurance Scheme.

Speaking during the presentation, ‎the Commissioner of Police, on behalf of the IGP, urged the beneficiaries to use the money judiciously, while praying to Almighty God to repose the souls of the deceased Police Officers.

He equally appreciated the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, P.hD, NPM for the altruistic gesture.

‎The CP assured that the Police would not relent in its welfare scheme for its personnel and also take care of the families of those who have sacrificed their lives fighting for the peace and progress of our dear nation.
