IleriOluwa Development Initiative Extends Helping Hands To Indigenes

IleriOluwa development initiative, a non governmental organization which seeks to lend a helping hand to the less privileged in the society, has brought smiles to the face of Mrs Mary Abioye’s family whose son was suffering from hole in the heart disease by footing the hospital bills of the patient.
Mrs Kafayat Oyetola, the President of the NGO and also the first lady of the State of Osun, made the presentation during a courtesy visit to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital in Ile- Ife.
In her speech, Mrs Oyetola who also gave out gift items to other patients in the hospital ward, stressed that care and support to the needy and the vulnerable in the society is the main goal of the NGO.
The wife of the Governor reiterated that the present administration has put all machinery in place to rehabilitate all the health centres in the state so that citizens particularly pregnant women and nursing mothers in each local government would have access to good health care delivery in their various domain in order to combat maternal mortality in the State.
She also called on all privileged Nigerians to put more efforts in assisting the less privileged in the society, most especially on health care delivery, education of children and women empowerment.
Speaking at the Courtesy Visit, the Chief Medical Director of the teaching Hospital, Professor Victor Adetiloye who was represented by the Chairman Medical Advisory Committee of the hospital, Professor Jerome Elusiyan appreciated the kind gesture of the first lady towards the sponsorship of the patient’s bill.
Professor Adetiloye commended Mrs Oyetola’s efforts through her pet project in less than 100days in the office. He prayed God to continue to strengthen her.
While thanking the first lady, the mother of patient, Mrs Mary Abioye expressed gratitude to God for the success of the surgery and also thanked Mrs Oyetola for the mercy she bestowed on her and her family, adding that God had already used the new government in Osun to favour her family.
