The Osun State Police Command on Thursday, said it has arrested some suspects in connection with the bloody cult clashes involving rival cult groups in Ilesa area of the state.
OSUN DEFENDER reports that there was a renewed cult clash in Ilesa last week leading to the death of about six persons.
The Governor of the state, Ademola Adeleke directed security and agencies on Wednesday to end the violent attacks, describing the killing spree as ‘shocking and reprehensible,’ calling on the police service and other security agencies to act decisively to stop the cult clashes.

The State Police Command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, while speaking to newsmen, said, ‘Some arrests have been made’.
She said, “We are still on the trail of some of the perpetrators. They are fleeing, but we are still on the trail. Normalcy has returned to the town. We have made some arrests in connection with the incident, but I don’t have the number of those arrested presently.”
