I’ll Consult God Before Deciding On 2027 Re-Election – Otti

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has said he will consult God before deciding whether to contest for a second term in 2027.

Otti made this known while addressing supporters at an event held at the Sam Ihesiulor Stadium in Okpuala Ngwa, Isiala Ngwa North and South local government areas.

In response, Otti said, “Just like 2023 was in the hands of God, 2027 will also be in the hands of God. I thank you for the endorsement and predictions, but I would go back and consult with my God. As time goes on, my response will be made public.”

He added that the endorsement was a recognition of his administration’s achievements so far.

Otti also announced that the Mgboko–Ntigha road project would be completed by December 2025 and assured residents of equitable development across the state.

Addressing criticisms over the siting of the Abia Airport in Nsulu, he said the decision was based on technical factors and not politics.
