Ilorin Secondary School Student Caught With Axe, Cutlass Inside Bag
A student of Adewole Senior Secondary School, Ilorin, Kwara State, has been arrested with an axe, cutlass, and other weapons inside his school bag.
According to report, the incident occurred when the vice principal of the school reportedly caught a student for an offence.
A source noted that while the offender was being dragged to the office, some group of students sarcastically told the VP to let him go.

Their public display of disrespect and audacity reportedly infuriated the school official, who ordered them to be brought.
“They all ran away, but one of them was caught,, and when his school bag was searched, rather than books, it only contained an axe, cutlass, knives, and other dangerous weapons. The student said the bag was given to him by one of his gang members. The case is with Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC),’’ the source added.
When contacted on Thursday, spokesperson for the NSCDC in the state, Ayoola Michael, confirmed the incident.
Asked for details, he said, “The case is still under investigation by our officers in Ilorin West LGA. I will brief you as soon as we are through.”
