Immigration Bars Sowore From Traveling, Places Him On Watchlist

The Nigerian Immigration Service has barred the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress in the 2023 election, Omoyele Sowore from traveling out of the country because his name is on their watchlist.

Sowore disclosed this in a statement and video shared on X.com on Friday.

He stated that he was being subjected to harassment and violation of his rights.

He wrote, “The Nigerian Immigration Service #nigimmigration continues to subject me to unwarranted harassment and abuse. Violating my rights repeatedly.

“Today, again, they stopped me on my way out of Nigeria, claiming I am placed on their WATCHLIST!”
