INEC Presents 2019 Election Budget To Reps, To Feed Police With N6bn
The House of Representatives Committee on Electoral Matters, is in a meeting with the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The main issue is the budget for the 2019 polls.
INEC ‘s Chairman, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, is attending.
The committee is chaired by Mrs. Aisha Dukku.
Reports filtering from the meeting indicates that feeding of policemen during the 2019 polls will gulp N6bn as presented by the INEC Chairman.
Lawmakers raised eyebrows over the figure and asked the INEC chairman, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, to defend it.
The budget defence is ongoing at the National Assembly.
