IPOB Remains A Terrorist Group – Dan-ali

Minister of Defence, Brig-Gen Mansur Mohammed Dan-Ali has disclosed that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) was labelled a terrorist organization due to their unruly utterances that could jeopardise the peaceful coexistence of Nigerians.

Dan-Ali made this remark when he visited the Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the United Nations, in New York, the United States of America, Prof Tijjani Bande.

He said the activities of the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu and his continuous demand for secession in the Southeast and the formation of a security guard outfit was an attempt to cause division in the country.

“There are many indices that make a group terrorist. One of them that has been mentioned in the country is that any group that is fond of making hate speeches, making provocative statements, becoming a security challenge to the country, then that group has to be registered as a terrorist group,” Dan-Ali said.
