The leadership of Irepodun South Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Erin-Osun, Osun state has donated operational vehicles to members of the council’s Executive Management Committee and staff of the council to aid the discharge of their official duties.
Apart from the vehicles, the council leadership also donated gift items and cash to widows and aged, with an 18-seater hummer bus to Elerin-In-Council so as to make life better for the people of the town.
The Executive Chairman, Honourable Adekunle Oloyede while presenting the 6 Toyota Camry and Toyota Corolla cars to the parliamentarians posited that his administration would continue to give members of the legislative arm the tools to perform their duties effectively, stressing they are partners in progress.
Oloyede said the gesture was in furtherance of his commitment and quest of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola’s six-points integral action plan to eradicate poverty at all levels.
He noted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would continue to ensure that succor is brought to the people particularly at the grassroots, saying these gestures would enhance grassroots and social development.
“This is not the first time our government is providing opportunities by reaching out to our people in this regard. The gesture of this magnitude was first brought to the people of our Council Development Area, precisely on April 18, this year.
“This is an indication of a purposeful government that is always in alignment with people at the grassroots and committed to bringing the dividends of democracy close to the electorate.
“Our administration will continue to provide the legislature the tools to perform its statutory functions within the limit of the financial resources of Government.”
