Isokan South LCDA Clears Land For Secretariat, Staff Quarters Construction

The Council Management Team, Isokan South Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has cleared and graded a sizeable plot of land at Orita-Ijebu in Ikoyi, the headquarters of the council.

Speaking at the ceremony which took place at Orita-Ijebu, Ikoyi, the council Executive Secretary, Prince Wasiu Oyelami stated that the land would have a twin project of Council Office and Staff quarters on the land.

A statement by the Head of Social Development and Information, Aminu Ademola said the project was in contrary to the misconception that the administration has laid foundation for a New Secretariat and Staff Quarters.

The Executive Secretary said, the projects when completed would curb rural depopulation as the LCDA workers would reside in the council communities to surge up rural transformation drive, which is germane to economic development in the council area.

Commenting on the administration of Governor Rauf Aregbesola on the management of the limited resources available to the state, Oyelami disclosed that the administration’s efforts towards stemming the urban migration by the projects were to complement the giant strides of the administration.
