Isokan South LCDA Lays Foundation For Secretariat, Staff Quarters

The Caretaker Management Committee, Isokan South Local Council Development Area (LCDA), led by the Executive Secretary, Prince Wasiu Oyelami has recently laid the foundation for a new secretariat and staff quarters complex in Ikoyi, the headquarter sof the council.

Laying the foundation for the structures, the council boss said that the essence of embarking on the projects was to meet some of the basic needs of the staffers and rural dwellers who are yearning for people-oriented projects.

He said the initiative was part of the government’s efforts to make provision for conducive environment for official engagement and housing for staff in order to make them work and live well.

According to him, it is necessary to embark on the projects, with a view to ensuring that the LCDA workers reside in their communities, so that they can provide effective services to the residents of the LCDA.

He also maintained that the gesture was part of the government’s rural transformation drive to stimulate economic growth and to a very large extent, discourage rural drift.

The Executive Secretary then expressed appreciation to Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the Governor, State of Osun for deeming it fit to create the council, which according to him has brought development to the grassroot.

Commending the administration of Aregbesola for running an open-door policy of governance, he said inspite of limited resources available to the state government, the administration has been able to make meaningful impacts.

Congratulating the governor on the successes recorded so far within seven years of his administration, the council boss noted that the efforts of the administration have placed Osun on a higher pedestal.

He then urged all eligible voters to vote for the All Progressive Congress (APC), in all future elections and most especially in the forthcoming councillorship election in the state.

Also, the Council Manager, Alhaji Sheu Ajibade, implored all taxable adults to pay their taxes and dues as and when due, as these are what the governor would use in providing social amenities for the people.
