Italian referee Fabio Maresca has been suspended from officiating UEFA Champions League matches as well as Seria A after allegedly threatening to kill a player during a match between Kuwait SC and Al-Arabi.
According to Corriere della Sera, Maresca had a confrontation with Khaled Al Murshed, which led to the alleged threat.
Although Maresca downplayed the incident, an Al-Arabi board member revealed that the referee made the threatening comment.
