In its resolve to resuscitating the standard of living and the economic development of the people, Hon. Ezekiel Adedibu-led administration in Iwo West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has embarked on series of developmental projects in the council.
According to a statement by the Head of Social Development of the council, Mr John Adewuyi, the first in line is the first phase of the extensive grading of earth roads in the council area.
According to him, the roads start from Idi-Araba, passing through Awuje, Bale, Eleko-Magunola, Olosi, Awo Kekere, Oloyan-Oke, Olukehinsi, Oloyan Cooperative, Muniare and terminating at Agberire, the seat of the Local Government Secretariat.
The statement noted that since the completion of the road, the economic standard of the people in the various communities has moved towards a positive direction.
It added that in addition to this, the council’s secretariat complex is now easily accessible to both the workers and the teeming members of the community.
The statement read further, “The second developmental task is the commencement of the construction of the ultra-modern Town Hall in Agberire, as the completion of this hall would be of great use to both the Local Government and the community at large.
“With these and many more projects to be executed in the nearest future, we can boldly say that good times are here indeed”, it read.
