Nigeria forward Alex Iwobi has urged Arsenal fans to keep keep believing in the team despite their 1-0 defeat to North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Spurs deservedly secured all three points thanks to league top scorer Harry Kane who scored in the 49th minutes to mark a difference in the scoreline.
The win took Spurs to fourth place, making them seven points clear ahead of Arsenal who currently are on 52 league points.
Iwobi, who was brought on in the second half of the game, told the club’s fans via his Instagram account that the team will be working hard to get back to winning ways starting with Thursday’s Europa League round 32 clash away to Swedish club Oestersunds.
Iwobi said: “Being an Arsenal fan myself, Saturday’s defeat was very disappointing and hard to take.
“I know it’s hard to believe but we know exactly how you are feeling.
“We have another match in a few days and trust me we’ll be putting in 100% to try and make this right.
“Massive love to all our fans for your support. #BIG17.”
