“Heroes and heroine who believed in the principle of a better Nigeria fought the military administrations tooth and nail requesting the announcement of the election. Many died in the process many were imprisoned while many went on exile. We appreciate the efforts of all who took part in the struggle.”

“Twenty five years after the June 12,1993 election, president Muhammad Buhari heeded to the request of the people and orders that the result of the election be announced declaring Late MOSHOOD Kashimawo Olawale Abiola the winner and as well announce the day June12,as Nigeria democracy day.”
