There is heavy security presence at the scene of the Democracy day celebration protest organised by the Osun Civil Society Coalition at Oke-fia Junction in Osogbo, capital of the state.
Students and activists in the state have, this morning, come out in their mass to celebrate this year democracy day in remembrance of the annulment of 1993 general election won by Chief MKO Abiola.
The election was annulled by the then Military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida.
Different inscriptions were seen on placards displayed at the scene of the protest. Some of the inscriptions include: ‘Resign if you are tired, Buhari’, ‘Where is our light?, Bring back our light’, ‘Restructure Nigeria Now’, among others.
