JUNE 12: Osun Is Safe For Celebration, Govt. Reassures Citizens

Government of the state of Osun has reassured its citizens of adequate security in the process of ‘June 12’ celebration.

The Government, through the Commissioner for information and civic engagement, Funke Egbemode, said, maintenance of law and order in the State and protection of lives and property of the people remain sacrosanct.

“As far as June 12 celebrations are concerned, the State Government assures the good people of Osun that the celebration will be peaceful and there will be no breakdown of law and order. Osun is a safe state and will remain so. Our security agents will continue to work together to keep our citizens safe before, during and after June”, Egbemode said.

The statement further urged the people to go about their economic and social activities without any fear whatsoever.

Goveror Adegboyega Oyetola and indeed the State Government of Osun wish the people happy June 12 celebrations, she concluded.
