The Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, has officially declared his intention to contest the 2019 presidential election under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Mr. Fayose formally declared his interest at the Chelsea Hotel, Abuja on Thursday as a candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). PDP party officials were conspicuously absent from the governor’s declaration of his desire to dethrone Mr. Buhari whose close aides have reportedly started organizing his reelection bid.
However, PDP party officials were conspicuously absent from the governor’s declaration owing to the party’s zoning arrangement to the North.
