Days before the Anambra governorship election, the current deputy governor of the State, Nkem Okeke, has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress, (APC) from the All Progressive Grand Alliance, (APGA).
Okeke was received by President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja in the company of the Caretaker Chairman of the APC, Mai Malla Buni.
Okeke was presented to President Buhari by the Chairman of the APC Campaign Organization for the November 6, governorship election in Anambra State and governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma.
Uzodinma told State House correspondents, “Only this afternoon the deputy governor of Anambra state joined the APC.”
