Just In: FG Increases Salary Of Police Officers

The Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Dingyadi, has said the Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved a 20 percent increase in salaries for personnel of the Nigeria Police Force.

He disclosed to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday after the FEC meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to Dingyadi, the increase was necessitated following issues raised during the #EndSARS protest last year, he also claim that the increment will take effect from January 2022.

Part of the cardinal 5-points demands of the protest included an upgrade in the training and welfare of the police.
