Just In: Olowo Of Iwo, Ondo State Joins Ancestors At 77
A first Class Monarch and the Olowo of Owo in Ondo State, Oba Folagbade Olateru Olagbegi, is reportedly dead.
Reports say, Oba Olagbegi died Tuesday night at the age of 77.
He was installed as the traditional ruler of the ancient town in 2003 by the then governor of the State, Olusegun Agagu.
He was appointed Chancellor of the University of Benin in 2005 and later chancellor University of Abuja.
Before his demise, Oba Olateru-Olagbegi was the Chancellor of the University of Jos and one-time former chairman of the Ondo State council of Obas.
