The State of Osun chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has postponed its state Congress, earlier scheduled for tomorrow, April 20.
This is contained in a statement by Dr. Akindele Adekunle, Chairman of the State Caretaker Committee of the PDP in Osun.
Akindele said the postponement was occasioned by the holidays declared to commemorate the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

Akindele said a new date for the congress as fixed by the National Secretariat of the party, will be communicated to stakeholders.
The statement reads: “Notice is hereby given that the State Congress of the Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party earlier slated for Thursday, 20th of April 2023 has been postponed.
“The postponement is necessitated by the holidays declared to mark the end of this year’s holy month of Ramadan. Consideration is given to stakeholders in the Congress especially representatives of the national working committee who are to conduct the Congress on a day they are expected to set out to be with their various families to observe the salah holidays.
“All inconveniences brought about by this postponement is highly regretted. New date for the Congress as may be fixed by the National Office of our great party will be communicated appropriately.”
