Just In: Protest Rocks Osogbo Over Unpaid Pension Arrears

Some pensioners are currently protesting the nonpayment of their pension arrears in Osogbo the State of Osun capital on Tuesday.

The pensioners were seen carrying placards with different inscriptions some of which read: “Government of Osun stop the propaganda”, “Save Our Souls”, “Stop Killing Us Indirectly”, etc. They were also singing anti-government songs to drive home their point.

One of the protesters told Osun Defender reporter that they are contributory pensioners who have not been paid since the advent of the present administration.

The protesters vowed to march to the State House of Assembly and the governor’s office
