Mr. Osita Nwanisiobi, the head of corporate communications of the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN, has revealed that the news making the rounds concerning the purported sack of the Governor of the Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele, is not true.
The CBN Chief spoke with a news medium Nairametrics, in a telephone conversation where he denied the rumoured sack of the CBN Governor.
It was also gathered that Godwin Emefiele is currently in Davos on official assignment.
The medium claimed it also contacted other sources close to the presidency and the CBN Governor to confirm if the rumours are true. All our sources claim no knowledge of the purported sack.
