Not fewer that fifteen pupils have been crushed to death in Lagos by a hit-and-run truck driver.
The tragic development happened along Ogunusi Road, Grammar School bus stop, Lagos State, on Tuesday afternoon.
According to an eyewitness, the pupils were going home after closing time and wanted to cross the road when the truck crushed them.
The driver was allegedly chased to the Ogba area where he was captured.
“I have never witnessed such a terrible scene in my life. I saw about 15 pupils lying lifeless on the floor. The incident occurred around 2 pm,” a commercial motorcyclist said.
Unrest has taken over the area as a result of the tragic incident but men of the Nigeria police have taken control as they were seen firing tear gas to disperse the grieved crowd.
