Kaduna APC Women Leader Suspended For Criticising Gov Sani
The women’s leader of the All Progressives Congress in Kaduna State, Maryam Suleiman, has been suspended for criticising Governor Uba Sani.
The APC women’s leader had voiced criticism against Governor Sani’s remarks regarding the significant debt burden inherited from the former governor, Nasir El-Rufai’s administration.
Suleiman accused Governor Sani of mismanagement and admonishing him to refrain from attributing his failures to El-Rufai.
The APC chairman and secretary of Badarawa/Malali ward, Ali Maishago and Zakkah Bassahuwa, respectively, in a suspension notice dated March 31st, asserted that the women leader had been suspended over purported actions that tarnished Governor Uba Sani’s reputation.
The suspension was due to the accusations of defaming the governor’s character and engaging in unauthorized dissemination of party disputes that undermined the governor’s integrity.
Sulaiman was alleged to had involved in orchestrating an attack on the political adviser to the governor, Manzo Maigari, purportedly carried out by thugs.
Citing violation of Article 21, 2 (v) of the APC constitution, the party stated that Suleiman’s suspension would remain indefinite pending a thorough investigation into the allegations.
