Kafilat Ogbara – An Amazon With A Difference

 

Greatness is attained only by those willing to pay its price. It is the culmination of numerous sacrifices and fervent efforts that are acknowledged praised, and evaluated to move one to a higher level. it is derived as a reward for dedication, hard work, and devotion to the advancement of humanity.

Life has always been about service for Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara and she has lived by this motto ever since she was a young lady. The experienced University of Lagos alumnus has a track record of employment in the media production sector. Additionally, she possesses great media and communication skills and is experienced in strategic planning, management, leadership, marketing, and project management. Additionally, the Amazon has master’s degrees in both public administration and international law and diplomacy.

Alhaja Ogbara has integrated management, politics, and leadership over the years, succeeding on all fronts. . She has experience in electronic media, having worked as a TV host for Faces and Events, as the publisher of the daily newspaper Today’s Prime, and as the former managing director and chief executive officer of National Mirror Newspapers. In terms of management, Ogbara has held positions at the Nigeria Television Authority in Abuja, the National Centre for Women’s Development in Abuja, and the National Horticultural Research Institute. She has also held positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja as a Special Assistant on Trade and Investment and Technical Aid Corps.

She has collaborated on the political front with many juggernauts including the APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, whom she is supporting wholeheartedly. She currently holds office as the Lagos State Secretary for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s Southwest Agenda and the National Coordinator for Women in Nigeria for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (WIN4ABAT).

Ogbara was appointed a Commissioner in Lagos State Audit Service Commission by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in 2020, but she resigned earlier this year to run for the APC’s nomination in Lagos state’s Kosofe Federal Constituency. By divine providence and her doggedness, she is now the party’s candidate for the upcoming election to represent the district in the House of Representatives.

Alhaja Ogbara, a woman of substance, stature, and calibre, is famous for her outstanding services to mankind, particularly her various campaigns and appeals for women’s independence, the development of women and children, assistance for the needy, and the promotion of good governance.

Through her career and show in politics, she has had a beneficial impact on people’s lives. Ogbara stands out as one of the admirable ladies Lagos, and in fact, Nigeria, has produced.

Kosofe Federal constituency can rest assured that its excellent track record of quality representation can and will definitely be improved upon as Ogbara brings with her a wealth of experience from both the private and public section.

Clearly, the baton exchange in the race of leadership for Kosofe and indeed the entity of Lagos has been hugely successful and one can look to the future with great hope and renewed expectations.
