Kano Charges Jigawa Commissioner To Court For Adultery
Jigawa State Commissioner Auwal Sankara is scheduled to appear in a Kano court today (Monday), to face allegations of adultery.
Osun Defender had reported that his arrest was made by the Kano Hisbah Commission after being found with a married woman in an uncompleted building.
However, Sankara denies the allegations, claiming they’re a deliberate attempt to undermine his political career.
The Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has formed a five-member committee to investigate these allegations.
Chaired by Secretary to the State Government Malam Bala Ibrahim, the committee includes Commissioners for Information, Basic Education and Security Matters.
They’re expected to report their findings within two weeks.
