An appeal filed by the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf challenging the ruling of the Court of Appeal has been fixed for tomorrow, Friday, January 12, 2024, by the Supreme Court for judgement.
This was made known in a notice issued by the apex court to all the parties in the suit on Wednesday.
The court in the notice, directed that each party should not have more than two lawyers in attendance.
It would be recalled that the Appeal Court had affirmed the verdict of the tribunal that sacked Governor Abba Yusuf and declared the candidate of the APC, Dr Nasiru Gawuna, as the authentic winner.
The secretary of the legal team for the NNPP, Barrister Bashir Tudun Wuzirci, also confirmed the fixing of the judgement by the apex court for Friday.
He said, “Yes, it is officially confirmed. They have told us to appear on Friday for the judgment.
“They told us that each party should not have more than two counsels in attendance.
“This, they said, is because they will be delivering seven judgments on that same Friday,” he said.
