Kano Police Arrest Suspected Sponsors Of Protests With Russian Flag

The Nigerian Police have apprehended foreign nationals believed to be behind the sponsorship of protests featuring Russian flags in various parts of the country.

This announcement was made by Police Commissioner, Salman Garba following a security meeting with Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf, on Tuesday.

Garba assured that the police and other security agencies will take decisive action against anyone attempting to compromise the state’s security.

He also announced an extension of the curfew relaxation, now spanning from 6 am to 6 pm.

The #EndBadGovernance protests, initially aimed at addressing hardship and hunger, took an unexpected turn on Monday when demonstrators in Northern states displayed Russian flags and chanted “Tinubu must go.”
