Kanu To Defend Terrorism Charges, Files Defense Papers
Biafra nation agitator, Nnamdi Kanu, says he is ready to defend the terrorism charge against him at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Kanu is currently filing his defence documents inside the courtroom, as directed by Justice James Omotosho.
Following a series of complaints by Kanu, the judge ordered that the court’s registry be temporarily relocated to his courtroom to facilitate the filing.
Counsel to the Federal Government, Adegboyega Awomolo, informed the court that he would accept the processes from Kanu within the courtroom and respond accordingly.
It would be recalled that Kanu had repeatedly refused to open his defence, insisting that he must first be shown the specific terrorism law he is alleged to have violated.
