Kidnapped Ex-Rep Member Regains Freedom

Gunmen have released the abducted former member of the House of Representatives, Joan Onyemaechi.

Recall that Onyemaechi was abducted on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in her church off DBS Road, Asaba, the Delta State capital, after gunmen killed her police officer and driver.

Confirming her release on Saturday morning in a chat with PUNCH, the Police Public Relations Officer in Delta state, SP Bright Edafe said she was released on Friday night.

He said, “Yes, she was released last night.”
