Kidnappers Leave Driver, Abduct 18 Passengers In Port Harcout-Bound Bus (Video)
18 passengers traveling from Abuja in a Port Harcourt-bound bus were abducted by kidnappers while the driver of the vehicle was left unharmed.
In a viral video obtained by Osun Defender, It was gathered that the incident occurred last night along a major highway in Port Harcourt.
In the video, it was seen that the driver was protected from sharing further details by representatives of the transport company, GIG Logistics (GIG), who discouraged him from speaking.
Osun Defender reports that the abduction has sparked fresh concerns about the growing insecurity along major highways, particularly in southern Nigeria.

Recall that on July 2024, driver and 18 passengers of a Port Harcourt-bound Akwa Ibom State Transport Corporation bus were on Wednesday, last week, abducted by yet-to-be-identified gunmen.
It was gathered that the incident occurred along the Azumini boundary between Akwa Ibom and Abia states.

It was learnt that the bus had left its Uyo terminal passing through Iwukem in the Etim Local Council Area before the passengers were intercepted by their abductors in the Azumini area of the road.
