Renowned Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has once again captured public attention, but this time for a more ceremonial reason.
The self-styled “Zazuu Zeh” crooner was crowned the “King of the Streets” in a grand ceremony conducted by Yoruba traditional rulers.
Decked in traditional attire, Portable was adorned with beads and a symbolic crown inscribed with his new title.
In a video obtained by Osun Defender, the monarchs were seen performing the rites and sharing their admiration for the controversial artiste.

While the occasion was hailed by many as a recognition of Portable’s influence on the streets and the music industry, it also sparked mixed reactions among Nigerians.
Some commentators speculated that the singer might have financially influenced the decision, while others warned the traditional rulers could regret their endorsement given Portable’s history of controversial public spats.
Portable, the founder of Zeh Nation, has gained as much notoriety for his fiery social media presence and altercations as he has for his music. Despite his frequent run-ins with wives, colleagues, and neighbors, the singer has managed to mend fences with some of his estranged associates.
