The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it is investigating the fake results in circulation in Kogi State.
Osun Defender had reported that some forged election results had been discovered from a polling unit in Kogi before the conclusion of the exercise.
The forged results emanated from Polling Unit 004, Eni Ward of Ogori/Mangogo in Kogi State.
In one of the forged results, a copy sighted by Osun Defender, AA got one vote, ADC got two votes, APC got 200 votes while the PDP and SDP got two votes each.
In another one, APC got 530 votes while nothing was recorded for PDP.
Also, a civil society organisation, YIAGA Africa has raised the alarm over the fake results.

The commission while reacting to the fake result sheets said it viewed the situation seriously, adding that an investigation was ongoing on the matter.
“Our attention has been drawn to a report that filled result sheets were discovered in some polling units in Kogi State. The Commission views this situation seriously.
“Our senior officials deployed to the State are currently investigating the incident(s). The Commission will communicate its decision earnestly.”
