Kogi West: Tribunal Affirms Adeyemi’s Election

The Kogi State National Election Petition Tribunal led by Justice Kashim Kaigama has affirmed the election of Smart Adeyemi, as the winner of the Kogi West Senatorial rerun election in Kogi West senatorial district.

Delivering judgement on Wednesday, the tribunal held that the petitioner, Dino Melaye could not prove how the November 16, was rigged in favour of Adeyemi.

Consequently, the petition was dismissed for lacking in merit.

Dino Melaye had claimed he was the authentic winner of the election and prayed the court to be declared the winner having scored the highest number of valid votes.
