Kwankwaso Sets Fresh Condition to Rejoin APC
The national leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has outlined a new condition for rejoining the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a video shared on Facebook by his aide, Saifullahi Hassan, Kwankwaso said he would not join the APC without a concrete agreement and a clear understanding of his role, as well as plans for the people and his supporters.
“I will not go to the APC blindly. I must be clearly informed of my role, the direction of the journey, and the fate of our plans for the common people, including the position of our supporters and the Kano State Government. That is my stand,” he said.
The former two-term governor added that he disagrees with joining the party without reaching an agreement.
Party loyalists had earlier urged both Governor Abba Yusuf and his political godfather, Kwankwaso, to lead them into the APC.
While the governor reportedly heeded the call, Kwankwaso maintained his reservations.
