Labour Party, ADC Dead In Anambra – Soludo Mocks Obi
Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has mocked former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, after the outcome of Saturday’s by-elections in the state.
Soludo, while speaking on Sunday at Nanka during the celebration of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA’s victory, said the Labour Party and the African Democratic Congress, ADC, are “dead” and “non-existent” in Anambra.
“ADC does not exist in Anambra. We showed it yesterday, Saturday. Labour Party is dead,” Soludo stated.
He further mocked Obi for backing ADC candidates in the election, stressing that the coalition had attempted to use the by-election to test its popularity but was overwhelmingly rejected by the people.
“The people spoke with over 75 per cent. APGA is our movement,” the governor added.
It will be recalled that Obi, a Labour Party member, aligned with the ADC coalition in a bid to form a strong opposition bloc against President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
